Polpis Systems is an open scientific experiment to advance deep geothermal energy. They are developing an open-source API for modeling of supercritical geothermal with an approach focusing on commercial viability.
This time, the bright minds at Polpis Systems needed a fresh burst of energy. O0’s job was to create an interactive website to fuel their mission, so we did it.

There's a natural, continuous georeactor at the center of our planet, but reaching it requires technology to explore depths beyond 12 miles (that’s a lot of scrolling).
To represent the process of drilling and extracting energy from the Earth’s core, we kept the visual metaphor simple yet impactful: diving into the depths of the website. With each scroll, visitors uncover new snippets of the interactive story.
The main challenge was conveying the technological mindset of Polpis Systems. We illustrated the development of GeoFusion energy through visuals and animations inspired by geodesy, along with outline icons drawn from cartography.
The color scheme follows a cargo-industrial aesthetic, highlighting energy and soil tones.
